About
I'm a Lebanese journalist, producer, and communications professional, driven by a passion for telling stories that expose injustice and spotlight overlooked communities. My work spans crisis zones across Northern Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Turkey, as well as displacement contexts in East and Central Europe, including Ukraine, Poland, and Moldova.
I have worked extensively in regions of crisis, such as northern Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Ukraine, Moldova, the Polish-Belarusian border, and Turkey. My stories have shed light on pressing issues like climate change, water scarcity, and food insecurity. I have also been at the forefront of emergency response communications during events such as wars, earthquakes and explosions.
In addition to my work in crisis zones, I have delved into the stories of marginalised communities. My investigative piece "Unwanted" brought to light the alarming incidents of discrimination and racism faced by Lebanon's refugee children. Similarly, I played a pivotal role in the creation of "Edge of the Valley," an award-winning documentary examining the issue of child labour amongst Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
My academic background in sociology, next to journalism, underpins my commitment to examining the psychosocial impacts of societal issues and human behaviour. This perspective adds depth to my work, allowing me to capture the broader social contexts of the stories I tell.
